Initiatives

The Haredi community comprises approximately 35% of the city's population, primarily concentrated in two central neighborhoods. Regrettably, these neighborhoods currently lack essential communal facilities and services catering to the needs of the community's children and families. A significant challenge arises as welfare authorities struggle to adequately address the requirements of these families, owing to the inadequacy of existing community centers for the Haredi population.

In light of this pressing need, it is of paramount importance to provide essential support for children within economically disadvantaged families, particularly during the challenging circumstances we face. In alignment with the Ministry of Welfare's guidelines, each community center is envisioned to accommodate 15 children and will be staffed by three dedicated professionals, operating in the afternoon and evening hours. The proposed activities at these centers encompass emotional support, educational assistance, and enriching experiences.

In response to these challenges, we are actively engaged in the establishment of two distinct youth clubs, one exclusively for girls and the other for boys, both with a specific focus on serving the unique needs of the Haredi community.
